Governor's Budget

In what I would call a truly COWARDLY move, Governor Ted Strickland announced FRIDAY at 4PM that he was going to reduce the Ohio Public Library Fund by 52% and when is this going to occur? July 1! That's right, he gave the people ELEVEN days notice to voice their discontent with something that would quite obviously be considered an unpopular choice, and would likely have flooded his office with unwelcome mail from y'know...the people he's governing!

This would cause some libraries to drastically reduce their hours, and some to close down entirely. For all you college students this would have an effect on OhioLINK as well.

This is the same governor that is planning for a rail system costing 400 million to build and 100 million dollars annually. Which do you think is more important, being able to travel between Dayton and Cleveland by train? Or maybe the Educational, Social, and Cultural uses of 70% of the libraries in OHIO?

Nah the school didn't censor me, as I had a good chunk of it up last year, however they did Limit me to three prints, and I simply could not see trying to go through 100+ images and picking one to three of my favorites..I could have filled the room with those images had I been given the okay to do so. I am attempting to get a gallery show going at the moment and when I have the dates and the location for them, they will be posted here.
